Packing Hints:
For kayak trips in British Columbia, clothing of synthetic fibres such as nylon and polypropylene is advantageous because if wetted they will dry quickly. Synthetic fleece materials are good warm wear; combined with a wind/rain shell, they are usually sufficient. Cotton fibres may stay damp--you probably won't find your blue jeans comfortable in the kayak!
Kayaks have adequate storage space, but the hatch openings are small. Bring several small stuff sacks (sleeping bag size is good) rather than large ones.
*A good dry bag can be made by putting a garbage bag inside a regular nylon stuff sack.
